I arrived at Celia’s suite at MGM Grand where wedding preparations were in full swing. The room was filled with excitement and emotion for Celia and Eric’s big day. Ladies in sparkly sequined gowns gathered around as Celia sipped on champagne while getting her hair and makeup done. Her smile lit up the entire room and was as radiant as the gowns themselves. That smile never left her face for the entire day. Down the hall in another suite, Eric and a few groomsmen were all ready to go when I arrived. In contrast to the bridal suite, there was a calm that filled the space and I could tell Eric could not wait for the day to get started and to marry his bride.
After an exchange of gifts, we set up their first look in an MGM suite balcony overlooking the strip. Eric and Celia wanted to incorporate the famous Las Vegas scenery into their wedding photos. The private balcony was the perfect setting for an intimate first look with the Vegas strip as the backdrop. They wanted to capture the fun spirit of their wedding while having an elegant affair. This was definitely not your typical Vegas cliche drive through wedding. It was thoughtful and glamorous and classy all the way.
After the first look we whisked the bridal party to the Bellagio for some more photos. The location was a perfect fit for their glamourous style. After a fun photo session at the Bellagio we headed out to the beautiful Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort for their nuptials. By this time the wind had picked up, which made for some fun group photos. Everyone had a good time regardless, and we quickly headed inside to continue the festivities. The rest of the night proved to be very emotional, lots of laughter and tears were shared by many. The highlight of the evening had to be when Michelle Truhe, one of the bridesmaids sang an opera rendition of Edelweiss in English and German. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. The evening capped off with a Pink Berry Frozen Yogurt truck for desert and dancing the night away under twinkling lights.
